Georgia State has gained recognition for using predictive analytics to identify potential problems on student records and proactively reaching out to help. The CASA intends to flip the analytics to identify high potential talent among our students and proactively reach out to invite them into the CASA support system.
On the quantitative side, we can compile data on successful alumni from Georgia State, then match their academic records with those of current early-career college students, thereby generating a pool of high academic talent to invite into the CASA. Yet on the qualitative side, we need your help.
We all know it’s not just the numbers, but it’s really the individual characteristics that help us predict who might proceed and succeed in advanced degree programs – critical thinking, writing, curiosity, leadership, motivation, and more. It’s the classroom instructors, program directors, and club leaders who get to know about these individual characteristics. Therefore, we need you to use our Nomination Platform (online survey) to submit the names, Panther IDs, and recommendations for students we should support. Please click here any time to use the survey. And we will be in touch with some of you proactively for pilot programming of pre-populated surveys about high performing students.
